"Gracism"(Miles McPherson vs. Racism

I loved this photo and asked a fellow coach if I could borrow it! Each one of these dogs is beautiful!

It really got me thinking hard and thinking Biblically.

1 Samuel 16:7 says, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

As we look at our current situation, it's all based on externals, not internals. As Christians, we need to BE all about the internals, because that is what God is about! Jesus always cared more about the heart, than any other shiny object in front of Him.

As I meditated on the heart, I thought of an illustration!

Imagine with me for a moment that you are going to die soon. You are on the waiting list for a heart transplant. Hang with me guys! Now let's say, your heart has come and it's time to get a new one put in your chest, do you ask where it came from? No, of course not, you don't care if it came from someone with a different external appearance than you.....you take it with gratitude and accept the healing heart. What makes this different? The life and death aspect? Hmmmm, I'd challenge that thought.

Why do we treat others differently based on the externals?

My friends, I tend to think we all need to sign up for a heart transplant regarding this situation and until we do, it will be difficult to make progress for all humans.

God says: "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."Ezekiel 36:26

Are you willing to look at this situation from a third point of view? (Taken for the book, The Third Option....amazing book).

Are you willing to look at the internals more than the externals?

If so we would be living lives of "gracism"(Miles McPherson) vs. racism.

Will you join me in checking your heart?
