As I talk with people about parenting teens, I'm noticing a theme......
Many say things like, "I can't even talk with them; they won't listen to me", "I didn't have this kind of support when I was a teen", " I wish my parents said or did......"
What if instead of thinking these things and throwing our hands up in defeat we changed the way we tackle the situation?
What if instead of saying, "They won't listen to me....", we start to listen to them?
2. What if we modeled what it's like to listen to someone?
3. What if instead of saying "I wish my parents said...."What would happen if we said that to our teens today?
