Have you ever found that you are most irritable with those who are closest to you? Like your spouse and kids?
Why is that? I think that in those relationships there is a safety to let your guard down. After all, these are the people who know you most intimately! There is a comfort level like no other.
I'd like to take this one step further and challenge us to get comfortable being uncomfortable. What if your family interactions were videotaped for all to see? What would others discover about you?
Would they see kindness?
Would they see patience demonstrated?
Would they see loving teamwork?
As you get comfortable being uncomfortable, ask yourself, what needs to change in my house today?
