Happy National Nurse's Week! To all my nurse friends, family and colleagues, what you do matters!
What you do saves lives! What you do is a daily sacrifice; not just a job! You love, you care, you give, you put yourselves aside for the good of your patients, you work short staffed, you work weekends, holidays, days, nights, you stay overnight in snowstorms and state emergencies, you deal with hurting, angry patients and their families, you deal with grief, joy, fear, uncertainty daily.
You deal with the trauma personally that you witness and have to bring it home to your own families.
You do so many things that cannot be captured on paper. The one thing I have NEVER SEEN A NURSE DO is: PLAY CARDS.
This week we celebrate all you give in service to the public. Thank you!
