Have you ever made a quick impulsive decision that you later regretted?
I know I have been there more times than I wish to admit. For me, these times tend to come when I'm busy and trying to accomplish too much in one day. Which means, for me, that I'm becoming tired. When we become tired, we have less emotional and mental control to make wise choices.
If you can relate, what might be a solution to this dilemma?
What if you delayed your decision until the next morning? Often times, when I sleep on things, I wake up with a fresh perspective on the situation. Our subconscious brains help us in our sleep to solve problems. So our Mom's advice to sleep on it is good advice.
What ways do you use to keep from making impulsive, unwise decisions?
