Ever wonder why you can go to sleep with an unsolved problem and wake up with more insight?
Neuroscientific research tells us that our subconscious brains are never resting because it controls all our vital necessities for life. It's constantly working; even while we are sleeping. Our subconscious minds have a lot to do with what goes on in our conscious minds when we wake.
For example, if you go to sleep after watching a scary movie, you are likely to have restless sleep or even have stressful dreams.
Thomas Edison knew the value of being intentional with his thoughts before bedtime, he said, “Never go to sleep without a request to your subconscious.” No wonder why he was able to be so creative!
What if, before bed, we changed our patterns?
What if, we mediated or journaled on things we want to accomplish?
I wonder how our subconscious mind could help out our conscious minds?
