Ever think about the selfie? I've been guilty of taking them and being in them. According to an author I read, the “Selfie” wasn’t even a word in the dictionary until 2013!
From the same piece, this quote really spoke to me this week.
"The bigger we become inside the frame, the smaller everyone else becomes." Arlene Pellicane
Think about that because its true! The person in the front always looks larger than the rest in the photo.
When we are busy looking at ourselves only, we are missing the others that are around us.
We see it all the time in relationships. When one person is self-absorbed it becomes hard to connect. Often a distance begins to occur, kind of like in that selfie, those around us become smaller.
What if we noticed others and by doing so made them feel bigger?
What relationships have begun to have distance because of your selfishness?
